Ergonomic Evaluation (AKA Ergonomic Assessment)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an ergonomic assessment?

During the office ergonomic assessment, a specialist will analyze you or your employee’s work environment and implement customer-specific solutions to reduce discomfort.  Whether it’s  environmental modifications, customized exercise and wellness plans, or ergonomic equipment, our certified ergonomic assessment specialists will ensure each recommendation is customized to your client’s needs.

How long does the assessment take?

The ergonomic assessment takes between 40 and 60 minutes.  This includes a 10-15 minute client interview, onsite analysis of  the employee’s daily routine and workstation, and onsite recommendations, if necessary.

Will I receive a written ergonomic evaluation report?

Yes.   We will send a written report directly to the HR specialist or designated contact person.  In the written report, the ergonomic specialist will analyze each employee’s work habits and how he or she interfaces with the workstation, provide ergonomic recommendations, and describe the reasons for each recommendation.

Can you assess the entire office?

Yes.  We can perform an individual ergonomic assessment for each employee, or we can do a full company-wide office evaluation (AKA ergonomic design).  During a company-wide office assessment, a certified ergonomic assessment specialist will provide recommendations, strategies, and product recommendations to reduce discomfort and injury for the entire office.  Please see our ergonomic design page for more information.

What do you charge per ergonomic assessment?

It all depends on the number of ergonomic evaluations; the more ordered, the less per assessment.  Please contact us at (310) 467-5625 for more information about pricing or to talk about options.

Do you offer quick, less in-depth assessments?

We do offer quick ergonomic assessments.  The quick ergonomic evaluation is less expensive than the full ergonomic assessment but takes less time and is less detailed. During a quick ergonomic assessment, a certified ergonomic specialist will make body mechanic and environmental recommendations for each employee.   Though we will not make specific product recommendations, the ergonomic specialist will provide general product guidance. After the assessment, the ergonomic consultant will write a short written report, reviewing each recommendation.
