During the home assessment, an experienced ergonomic consultant will recommend customer-specific solutions to reduce discomfort.
The Home Office Ergonomic Assessment Process:
Pre-Screen
Before the home assessment, the ergonomic specialists will review any relevant employee injury information.
Onsite Home Assessment
The ergonomic consultant will arrive at the employee’s home office. The specialist will start by conducting a 10-15 minute interview to determine the employee’s job duties, home workspace, and regularly used computer equipment. The consultant will pay particular attention to how the employee interfaces with the chair, monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Additionally, the ergonomic consultant will monitor the employee performing regular job duties to analyze and determine ergonomic risks. Please note that all of our ergonomic specialists are COVID safe: each consultant will wear a mask, a face shield, and gloves.
Written Report
After analyzing the information gathered during the onsite visit, the ergonomic specialist will make individualized recommendations. The consultant will send these recommendations to the designated contact person in a written report. When ergonomic equipment is recommended, the specialist will provide information and approximate pricing. After the written report is sent, the ergonomic specialist will schedule a virtual meeting with the HR specialist to review each recommendation.
