What is Ergonomics?

Ergonomics is about fitting the workstation to the person. For those sitting at the computer for long periods of time, this means having the correct monitor, keyboard, and chair (ect.) and installing this computer equipment to fit the employee.  Each person is different.  We each have different work habits and postures as well as different physical characteristics (i.e. height and weight).   Each tip that our ergonomic specialist recommends, therefore, is customized to that particular individual.  Whether its alleviating stress on a particular joint, promoting posture and comfort in a chair, or maximizing productivity, the suggestions our ergonomic specialists make are specific to that employee.
