During an ergonomic assessment, an ergonomic specialist will come to the client’s place of work and provide recommendations to improve productivity and reduce the risk of injury. We first start by getting to know the client. Where is he or she experiencing discomfort? What types of activities increase fatigue? After this information is gathered, the ergonomic specialist will take an in-depth look at the client’s workstation and how he or she interfaces with their regularly used equipment. By the end of the session, the ergonomic specialists will be able to provide specific recommendations that will allow the individual to decrease the risk of injury and discomfort as well as improve productivity at work.
